Strategy

Sector Strategies are partnerships between education, business, government, nonprofit and other segments of the community to develop industry-specific, responsive programs that train workers and build their skill sets in line with hiring needs.

“Sector strategies allow stakeholders to focus on specific industries in order to address acute talent shortages,” said Linda Nguyen, CEO of WorkForce Central. “These partnerships open the door for more innovative solutions and, to date, have increased the number of professionals in key sectors as well as awareness of career options.”

While WorkForce Central assists businesses across every industry in Pierce County, the following sectors form the core of our strategic work.
