Business Consultations Focus on Workforce Solutions

WorkForce Central’s Business Solutions team provides tailored services to local businesses to help them reach their workforce goals. By meeting with business owners one-on-one, our team can assess your business and help you develop a plan to address growth, training, and other opportunities that may be available.

“I try to provide tailored plans to meet their workforce needs,” said Jermane Easterlin, our Business Solutions Senior Specialist. “I try to create actionable plans.”

After the initial assessment, the team can then evaluate what services are available and fit those needs, including talent acquisition by helping with hiring events and connections through the WorkSource Pierce Network, employee training grants, wage reimbursement grants, internship opportunities, and more.

“I really get a feel for the business by being curious and asking a lot of questions,” Jermane said.

In recent months, Jermane has met with several businesses, including new businesses moving into the county and existing businesses trying to grow.

He recently met with a new counseling office, Ash & Birch Counseling, which offers mental health and nutrition-based counseling services in Puyallup. Through the consultation, Jermane provided strategies to address skill gaps and streamline operations for scaling up, as well as the initial assessments needed for when they moved to Puyallup.

With ADT Security Services, through a needs assessment, Jermane was able to support the business by providing recruitment and talent acquisition through WorkSource Pierce.

After meeting with Massage Me LLC, a massage clinic in Frederickson, Jermane was able to set them up with an intern through our Work Experience program. This intern is working on a public outreach and education plan to grow interest in younger people entering the massage industry.

“These assessments and plans are really about whatever that business needs,” Jermane said. “I want to help improve employee engagement, growth, and retention.”
