WHAT IS SUMMER JOBS 253?
Mayor Marilyn Strickland led the City of Tacoma in launching Summer Jobs 253 in 2013. During its fourth year (2016), 172 students participated. Students earn high school credit through Tacoma Public Schools and some are eligible for college credit through a partnership with Tacoma Community College.
