WorkForce Central convenes industry experts to partner in addressing sector-specific workforce challenges such as building a pipeline of skilled workers ready to meet anticipated demand.

The new Parkland Career Center will feature a construction pre-apprenticeship program, a resource room, and young adult programming at no cost to Pierce County residents.

MISSION

The mission of the Parkland Career Center is to develop, implement and oversee collaborative strategies that ensure:

  • A sufficient supply of trained workers in Pierce County
  • Access to family-wage careers in construction
  • Pierce County residents have access to industry-specific training that results in employment and career progression
