Justice connected to the WorkSource Pierce Young Adult program in March 2020. During this time, COVID-19 was at an all-time high, and in-person services were at a halt. Despite these circumstances, Justice remained connected with the Young Adult service team through virtual services and attended our weekly workshop webinars.
When establishments began to open again, Justice entered the CNA program at ProCare Academy. She finished at the top of her class and exited the program with honors. Even though she had completed her occupational skills training, it was hard for her to finish her clinical hours due to COVID-19. Nonetheless, her WorkSource career advisors found a placement for her at Cascade Park Communities where she completed her clinical hours and internship at the same time. She proceeded to exit her internship with full-time employment at Bonaventure Senior Living Facility in Puyallup, WA. Justice is currently working there and is preparing to take her state exam when testing facilities reopen in Pierce County.
Justice’s grit, drive, and determination have seen her through this program, especially with all unforeseen circumstances that have come up in the last year. She has continued to exceed expectations and find stability in her life. She is steadfast in her career and has a passion for helping people in the medical field. Justice’s dream job is to be a neonatal nurse in a hospital. She loves animals, family, and friends – they motivate her to continue on the track for success.
