Ryan M.

As Ryan was retiring from 20 years of military service, he sought support from the WorkSource JBLM office to help with his transition into civilian life. He worked with Employment Specialist Clayton as he prepared to find a civilian position in healthcare administration.

“Clayton was an outstanding mentor,” Ryan said. “He greatly assisted me in preparing several resumes and best practices in researching, finding, and applying for jobs, as well as coaching me through the interview process. Overall, I felt confident and overly prepared, and it was totally worth it.”

As a result, Ryan was able to find a position as a patient care coordinator with a local healthcare facility.

“Transitioning to civilian life is daunting,” Ryan said. “Through working with Clayton, I never once felt hesitant. It is a huge change retiring from the military, and WorkSource was there for me every step of the way. I couldn’t be happier with the guidance Clayton provided, and I encourage anyone to stop by the office if only to receive information.”
