Tacoma, WA – The third annual JobFest, Washington State’s largest young adult job fair, will be kicking off on April 13th at the STAR Center in Tacoma. To help young adults prepare for the event, WorkForce Central and the Pierce County Library System will be holding several VIP workshops throughout Pierce County. These workshops are designed to prepare young adult job seekers by teaching networking skills and interview preparation techniques. These VIP workshops will help young adult job seekers put their best foot forward and fully utilize everything the event has to offer.

There will also be a special VIP networking event that will be held just before JobFest opens specifically for the VIP job seekers (anyone that has attended a VIP Workshop). This will give our VIPs an opportunity to meet and speak with employers face to face before the event begins.

The mission of JobFest is to stimulate and promote the local economic and the young adult employment climate by providing an environment where young adults can meet employers without outside influence or competition. JobFest will be host to 65 + employers in many disciplines, including healthcare, retail, customer service, manufacturing, social services and much more. Employers will have full-time, part-time, and even temporary positions so there are opportunities to meet everyone’s needs.
