Virtual Events Offer a Way to Participate in National Day of Racial Healing

January 10, 2023

WorkForce Central is excited to share information about the National Day of Racial Healing and free, virtual events and seminars open to everyone who wants to commemorate the day and learn how to promote racial healing in our community.

Launched in 2017, the National Day of Racial Healing is a time to contemplate our shared values and create a blueprint together for how we heal from the effects of racism.  Fundamental to this day is a clear understanding that racial healing is at the core of racial equity.  It is an opportunity to bring ALL people together in their common humanity and inspire collective action to create a more just and equitable world.

This annual observance originated as part of the W.K. Kellogg Foundation’s national Truth, Racial Healing & Transformation (TRHT) efforts and was created with, and builds upon, the work and learnings of TRHT community partners.  It is observed on the Tuesday after Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

The following National Day of Racial Healing virtual events and seminars are open to everyone, at no cost.  We hope you’ll register to participate in one or more of these opportunities!
